MASTER CRAIG

Master Craig is a Physiology graduate from U of T.  He was a sergeant with the O.P.P. Auxiliary Unit and is a certified First Aid/CPR instructor with the St. John Ambulance.

 

Master Craig has been involved in martial arts for over forty five years, beginning with Judo at the age of eight.  He studied Kung-Fu, Kickboxing, Aikido, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu and Karate.

 

Craig is a seventh degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate and has studied under Grandmaster Victor Arnold.       

He is also a Gracie Humaita black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Dan Morony, winning a silver medal at the 2015 IBJJF World Masters Jiu-Jitsu Tournament in Las Vegas.

​

He has attended numerous seminars and courses with such notable martial artists as three time Abu Dhabi winner and four time world champion Royler Gracie, original UFC champion Royce Gracie, Pan Am champion David Adiv, world renowned Muay Thai trainer Ganyou Fairtex, two time world karate champion Chris Rappold and Bill Underwood, the creator of Defendo.

Craig has taught self-defense courses to elementary students and to the Ontario Provincial Police.

​

A realistic and practical approach forms the basis of his techniques.

 Ty started learning Karate at the age of 4 and took up Brazilian Jiu Jitsu at the age of 12.  He trained in a class mostly comprised of adults, which offered a great challenge and helped him develop his skills faster.  At 17 he began to take Mixed Martial Arts classes, learning how to combine groundwork with striking.  At 20, Ty began learning Tai Chi from Sifu Ricky Lim.
 

Throughout his 28 years of martial arts experience, Ty has had the opportunity to learn from Jiu Jitsu legends; Royce Gracie (1st UFC champion), Royler Gracie, Rorion Gracie, Eddy Bravo and David Adiv.

​

 He has also learned from Mixed Martial Artists such as; Mauricio "Shogun" Rua (former UFC champion), Robert Drysdale, Jay Hieron and Muay Thai legend Ganyao Fairtex.

​

Ty is now a 6th degree black belt in Kempo Karate and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.  He has competed in martial arts tournaments and coached students through their own competitions.  Ty's goal is to continue learning and to share his knowledge for self defense and health purposes.

SIFU RICKY

Sifu Ricky has been practicing Tai Chi for over forty years.  He has taught numerous students of all ages, and has been a judge in International Tai Chi tournaments.  Sifu Ricky teaches the traditional Yang form, as well as sword and push hands.  He offers insight to the health and martial benefits of Tai Chi, and his attention to detail is second to none. 

 

Sifu Ricky is versed in two styles of Tai Chi, as well as Kendo.  His lineage can be traced back to the founder of Yang Style Tai Chi.  He continues to evolve and adapt the art, discovering new applications constantly.  His understanding of each movement is truly incredible, he can often demonstrate multiple ways of utilizing the same technique.

COACH MARCUS

An amateur wrestler and mixed martial artist. Marcus started Wrestling in early public school and high school in both Canada and the US. He earned medals in various Regional, Provincial and State tournaments.

Marcus is also an entrepreneur and business owner that uses the discipline and mindset of the arts daily.  He is excited to pass on some skills to future generations of martial artists and people looking to improve their health and mental mindset overall.
