Master Craig is a graduate from U of T with a degree in Physiology. He was a sergeant with the O.P.P. Auxiliary Unit and is a certified First Aid/CPR instructor with St. John Ambulance.
Craig has been involved in martial arts for over forty five years, beginning with Judo at the age of eight. He studied Kung-Fu, Kickboxing, Aikido, Muay Thai, Jiu-Jitsu and Karate.
Craig is a seventh degree black belt in Shaolin Kempo Karate and has studied under Grandmaster Victor Arnold.
He is also a Gracie Humaita black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Dan Morony, winning a silver medal at the 2015 IBJJF World Masters Jiu-Jitsu Tournament in Las Vegas.
He has attended numerous seminars and courses with such notable martial artists as three time Abu Dhabi winner and four time world champion Royler Gracie, original UFC champion Royce Gracie, Pan Am champion David Adiv, world renowned Muay Thai trainer Ganyou Fairtex, two time world karate champion Chris Rappold and Bill Underwood, the creator of Defendo.
Craig has taught self-defense courses to elementary students and to the Ontario Provincial Police.
A realistic and practical approach forms the basis of his techniques.
Master Ty is a fifth degree black belt in Kempo Karate, and a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
He has twenty four years of martial arts experience, and twelve years of teaching behind him.
He has trained with martial artists such as Royce Gracie, Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, Royler Gracie, Robert Drysdale Eddy Bravo and Jay Hieron.
Ty's first teacher is his Father, Master Craig.
Some of their best memories are training together. He still shares what he has learned over the years, or even something new he is trying. Ty also studies under Sifu Ricky Lim for Tai Chi and Professor Dan Morony for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
Ty has experience teaching people young and old. He has helped kids rid themselves of bullies, coached competitors to victory in martial arts tournaments, helped people reach their fitness goals, given people a place to feel welcome and be themselves. Most of all he shares his joy for what he is doing with his students.
Sifu Ricky Lim has over 50 years of experience in Tai Chi. He understands both the medicinal and martial sides of the art. He teaches the original Yang form, the Chen form, push hands and sword. Sifu Ricky also has experience in Kendo and Chi Gong. He is a prime example of a Master, both in character and through his movements.
